When something is wrong with a digital force gauge…

It does not turn on. Check the battery
Please check if it turns on while it is being charged with AC adapter.
(If it does not turn on, it is likely that the battery has deteriorated or AC adapter is broken.)
Check the battery charge
Please check if the battery is charged or not.
(Please check if it turns on or not after charging.)
It turns off automatically soon after turning on. Check the battery
Please check the battery is fully charged or not.
(If the battery warning shows up soon after full charging, it is likely that the battery has deteriorated, or AC adaptor is broken.)
The display flashes on and off.
It makes a buzzing sound.
Overload warning light flashes (Z series).
The possibility of overload (sensor break down)
If your force gauge get these signs, it is likely that its sensor is broken (overload), and it is necessary to replace the sensor.
[Sensor separate type] A sensor separate type gauge also gets these signs when its indicator is disconnected from its sensor. So please check if its indicator is connected to its sensor.
It does not indicate full scale. Check the value
It is likely that a sensor is broken (overload). If so, it is necessary to replace the sensor.
-NG or +NG light flashes. It is NOT broken.
+NG and NG light is for comparator indication. +NG light flashes when the load value is over the set point, and NG light flashes when the load value is below the set point.
The value is not stable. Please wait 10 minutes more after turning on the power, then please start measurement.
Measurement repeatability is low. Check operation procedures
Please check if the test speed, direction, temperature and humidity are consistent or not.
Please check if there is the difference between workers.
Please check if the part to mount a gauge is fixed well.

When something is wrong with software…

Software is not installed into PC. Check the specifications of PC
Please check if PC fulfills the required conditions.
Check operating system
Please check if operating system is compliant with the software.
Data transmission is not possible between a gauge and PC. Check the cable
Please check if a dedicated cable is used.
Check the connection
[USB] Please check if the force gauge is recognized as a device.
[RS232C] Please check if the cable is connected to correct port.
Check the communications port
[RS232C] Please check if the COMPORT connected with a force gauge is selected.
The possibility of cable/connector damage
If you have a spare cable, please use it to check.
[USB] Please change USB ports to test operation.

When something is wrong with a motorized test stand…

The light or crystal liquid panel is not turned on after switching on its power. Check the outlet
Please check if its power cable is connected to outlet.
Check the fuse
Please check if its fuse has not blown.
It does not work even though the light or crystal liquid panel is turned on after switching on its power. Check the emergency button
Please check if the emergency button is off.
(Please turn the button in a clockwise direction to switch it off.)
Check the speed
Please check if the test speed is not the lowest.
(It is hard to see if it moves or not if the speed is low.)
Check the stroke
Please check the position of limit knobs (the black knobs placed at the side of its shaft)
(A force gauge moves up and down between the knobs.)
