Please keep the test condition (test speed, direction, temperature and humidity) consistent as possible.
Please make sure to minimize the differences in measurement between operators.
Please make sure that a gauge or attachments are fixed well.

Test results inevitably vary between operators when they use a force gauge by hand. To improve the measurement repeatability, combine a force gauge with a test stand, which offers consistent test direction and speed.

Calibration is a process to verify whether a force/torque gauge maintains good accuracy or not. Force/torque gauges are necessary to be calibrated periodically just like a watch maintenance. IMADA and some of our distributors offer calibration service.

The capacity is the max. force/torque the measurement instrument can measure. As the measurement instruments will be break down due to overload (apply force/torque more than the capacity), please select capacity higher than the max force/torque you want to measure.

[f.s.] means full scale. For example, the tolerance of 50N (full scale) force gauge is [50N × ±0.2% = ±0.1N]. So if the displayed value is 30N, the tolerance is [30N ±0.1N = 29.9N~30.1N].

IMADA products are covered by a one year warranty for materials and workmanship under normal authorized use consistent with the instruction manual provided by IMADA. Please see product warranty card for details. Please keep the warranty card carefully as you can not apply for warranty service without it.

Store the measurement instruments in the supplied carrying case to prevent from force or a shock applying to the measurement shaft.
Please avoid oil, dust, water, and keep it in a cool place.
Please do not use organic solvents for clean.

Please use the supplied battery and AC adapter to charge! It may cause low accuracy, failure of product, or even fire if you do not do so.
Kindly note the battery life may become shorter if you use the products when connecting the AC adapter.

It is vital to calibrate force/torque gauge periodically to maintain the accuracy. IMADA can provide IMADA calibration services and the calibration accredited to “ISO/IEC 17025:2017”, an International Standard for Testing and Calibration Laboratories. (Some product models are excluded)

We recommend you select product range (capacity) higher than the max expected force/torque to be loaded.
Please select capacity as 200% of your max expected force to be loaded for the rapid force change test such as break test.
Please select capacity as 150% of your max expected force to be loaded for the stable test.
Please select capacity as higher than the above cases for integration into equipment.

Mechanical force gauge is not suitable for test of rapid force change in short time test or in continuous vibration environment.

A Force gauge measures applied force by its measuring shaft, resulting from physical interaction, quantifying the force with the dedicated unit N (Newton). It can be used to test various force of kinds of samples by amounting suitable attachments.

A test stand is called “test bench” or “testing machine”. It is combined with a force gauge in order to move it up and down, or right and left. If you would like to perform tests more precisely, a test stand is recommended to use since it provides consistent test speed and direction, improving the repeatability.
