This test complies with ISO 17218 (2014) [Sterile acupuncture needles for single use] (corresponding part only). It is performed with a dedicated jig specially designed for evaluation of the strength and sharpness of the acupuncture needle. Acupuncture needle used for acupuncture treatment is pierced into human skin, so high quality and safety are essential. In the production of acupuncture needles, such test in accordance with JIS T9301 (2016) is obligatory and used in quality control.
