Penetrability Test for Vial Stoppers (Complies with the corresponding part of ISO 8871-5:2016)
Medical devices and pharmaceuticals are used for diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of human and animal diseases, which are closely related to human and animal health. Therefore, high level of safety is required and many of these elements are strictly controlled by standards and internal regulations. This video shows how to perform a penetrability test of vial stoppers complying with ISO 8871-5: 2016. IMADA's specialized attachments, jig to fix the vial, Male Lure Slip Adapter to attach a hypodermic needle with 0.8 mm outer diameter (specified in the ISO standard), are used for this test. The peak force required for penetrating the vial stopper (rubber closure) is measured. The optional graphing software shows the entire force transition until the vial stopper (rubber closure) is penetrated, which helps you analyze the suitability of the vial stopper (rubber closure). It is used for the quality evaluation and quality control of vial.

Penetration and Drag Force Measurement for Needles (Complies with the corresponding part of ISO 7864:2016)
The penetration force, which occurs when the tip of the hypodermic needle inserts into the skin, is directly related to the pain felt by a person. It is said that the less penetration force, the less pain. Therefore, the penetration force is an important factor for hypodermic needle quality control and R&D. This video shows how to perform the peak penetration force and average Drag force test of a hypodermic needle complying with ISO 7864: 2016. The testing speed and needle penetration depth which specified in the standard can be easily set with Imada's measuring instruments. In addition, the peak penetration force and average Drag force results required by the standard, can also be displayed and calculated automatically by using Imada's force-displacement graphing software. It is useful for hypodermic needle's quality control and R&D.

Carton Score Quality Test
A box-making machine, also known as a carton former, opens the folded carton to make a carton box. The machine may shut down due to the variation of force to bend the score and the crease on the folded corrugated fiberboard. Thus, the management and testing of bending force of carton is necessary. This video shows how to measure the maximum force when bending the carton at 90 degrees, by using IMADA customized attachment and testing equipment. Moreover, By using the graphing software, the transition of the force to bend the carton at 90 degrees can be checked visually. The measurement which complies with standard TAPPI T829 om-15 can also be performed.
