Here, we introduce solution videos of tension test including Bonding strength test, Breaking test, and Elasticity test.

In Bonding strength test, a bonded part is pulled to determine the strength. IMADA’s tension tester handles various test samples such as crimped wire, textile, rubber, and more. See the details in video below.

In Breaking test, a test sample is pulled until it breaks to determine the strength. The test samples could be thread, wire, film, paper, and more. See the details in video below.

In Elasticity test, an extensible sample such as rubber or spring is pulled to determine the rate of elongation. See the details in video below.

Tension (Bonding strength)

High-Voltage Wire Harness Crimp Terminal Tension Strength Test(Complies with the corresponding part of JIS C2805:2010)

This is pull test on crimped terminal of high-voltage wire harness complying with the corresponding part of JIS C2805:2010. The crimped terminal is continuously pulled at a certain force based on the sample size for 10 seconds. After the test, check if the connector part was NOT pulled apart. It is used for R&D and quality control.

Cable Crimp Terminals Tension Strength Test(Complies with the corresponding part of IEC 60512-16-4: 2008 and JIS C2805: 2010)

There are 2 ways to measure the tension strength of crimped terminals, durability test and break test. The break test complying with the coresponding part of IEC 60512-16-4: 2008 requires you to determine the maximum force value when the terminal is pulled off. On the other hand, the durability test complying with the coresponding part of JIS C2805: 2010 requires you to pull the crimped terminal continuously at a certain force for 10 seconds, and check the connector part situation after the test. They are used for R&D and quality control.

Simple Corrugated Cardboard Sealing Strength Test

Sealing strength of corrugated cardboard is measured by IMADA's force gauge and a dedicated hook. You just insert the hook into the gap and pull it up until the cardboard is unsealed, the force gauge captures the maximum force value, which is the cardboard's sealing strength. It is used for quality control.
