Automatic Torque Test for PET Bottle Cap

PET bottle is the most typical beverage container. Its hard-to-open cap may lead to unsatisfied user experiences, which affects the beverage brand image negatively. Conversely, easy-to-open cap helps create a favorable impression to consumers. This video will show you how to measure the torque (peak value) required to open the cap of 1.5L PET bottle with motorized torque stand. The test will start at set speed and stop at set torque value automatically. By using a dedicated graphing software, the relationship between torque and angle can be shown graphically. You can visually check the transition of the torque when the cap is opened on graph. It is widely used for quality control and R&D.
