Slide fasteners (zipper) are widely used for clothes such as jackets, trousers, and skirts, and play an important role in closing them. It is necessary to check the strength of each part of the slide fasteners for quality control and usability evaluation. The test methods are described in JIS S 3015: 2019. This video measures the strength of a fastener when its lateral box (bottom stop) is pulled to break using a method that conforms to JIS S 3015-7.6: 2019. With the optional graphing software, it is possible to visually analyze the transition of force until the opening is removed. IMADA also offer solutions for other tests that comform JIS S 3015: 2019.
