500ml PET Bottle Top-Load Testing

In this video, top-load testing of a PET bottle is performed using a force-displacement measurement unit. The force-displacement graph drawn by the included software allows to see the relationship between the force value and the pushing amount, and to easily read the force value when deformation begins. By using the compression plate with slots for air vent, the effect of air in the bottle on the measurement is reduced, and the original strength of the bottle can be measured. Top-load testing is sometimes performed using a top load tester, but the similar tests can be performed with IMADA's force-displacement measuring unit.
