Using a custom-made jig, crimped postcard peel strength test is performed. Crimped postcards often contain highly confidential information such as personal data, and are required to be glued so that they will not be unintentionally peeled off during mailing. At the same time, it must be able to be peeled off smoothly when opened without tearing. In order to obtain the optimum peel strength, such tests are used in R&D and quality control.
