There are 2 ways to measure the tension strength of crimped terminals, durability test and break test. The break test complying with the corresponding part of IEC 60512-16-4: 2008 requires you to determine the maximum force value when the terminal is pulled off. On the other hand, the durability test complying with the corresponding part of JIS C2805: 2010 requires you to pull the crimped terminal continuously at a certain force for 10 seconds, and check the connector part situation after the test. They are used for R&D and quality control.
