Two types of tensile shear strength test and peeling strength test are conducted based on JIS L3416 (2020) [Touch and close fastener] (corresponding part only). Hook and loop fasteners are widely used in clothing, shoes, and medical equipment. While it has the advantage of being easy to remove and adjust, it also has the characteristic that adhesive strength is affected by adhesion of lint and wear-out by washing. By conducting this test based on JIS L3416 (2020), it is possible to quantify difference in materials, effects of washing, and influence by the shape of the hook and loop.
