Spout Pouch Cap Opening Torque Test

Opening Force

In this video, opening torque of a spout pouch cap is measured by using a screw cap torque tester and the dedicated fixture. Spout pouches, which are often used as beverage packages and refill packages, are difficult samples to measure the opening torque since they are easily deformed. The dedicated fixture enables the tester to avoid deforming those samples by holding the spout neck. This configuration enables an efficient and repeatable test of opening torque at quality control sites.
