Takeout Container Lid Opening/Closing Force Test

Closing Force

Customized Item

It is important that the lid of the takeout container is closed tightly to prevent leakage. However, it is not user-friendly if it is too tight to open and close. Therefore, the optimal opening/closing force (ease to open/close) is required. This video shows how to measure opening/closing force of a take-out container lid manually. By using a custom-made attachment, it measures the closing force by pushing the lid from upside, and the opening force by pulling up the lid from downside. By using graphing software, you can visually check the transition of the force until the lid is completely closed, which allows you to analyze the feeling of closing (ease to close). In addition, it is designed to fix the sample easily and quickly by the custom-made attachment, which saves preparation time. It is used for quality control and R&D of ease-to-use takeout containers.
