Digital force gauges are force measuring devices with built-in load cells and used to measure compression, tension, peel, or coefficient of friction.

Digital force gauges feature data management on a PC and detailed analysis based on the data. Convenient functions such as pass/fail test, measurement time management, and memory are included. Some models can expand function by downloading optional software from IMADA-Connected.com.

With a shape that fits in your hand, a light weight of 460g, and a battery that allows up to 30 hours of continuous use, simple type digital force gauge is ideal for handheld measurement. Despite its simplicity, simple type digital force gauges are equipped with convenient functions for measurement and management, such as a pass/fail judgement, a warning alarm to prevent malfunctions due to overload, and notification of calibration time. Digital force gauge for handheld (advanced model) is designed to improve repeatability even when hand-held. Additional functions are topped to DST. When handheld type is used, the measurement angle tends to be inconsistent, which limits the repeatability of measurement. The added function reduces variation in measurement angles and thus improves repeatability. Other useful features include the ability to continuously acquire peak values without button operation and also the internal memory. Some functions require connection to separately-sold products.

High capacity type digital force gauge covers large forces (up to 5000N) that cannot be measured with standard type digital force gauge. Using it with a test stand is highly recommended for labor and safety reasons when measuring forces handheld larger than 1000N.
If you plan to measure handheld, however, you may find a dedicated handle useful.

Digital force gauges are generally equipped with a built-in load cell, but separate sensor type force gauge is with an external load cell. Particularly useful in an environment where it is difficult to use a digital force gauge with a built-in load cell, or when you install a force gauge in a facility.

Standard separated sensor type digital force gauge is with an externally mounted sensor, and is ideal for incorporation into facility or for measurement in special environments. Various specifications and shapes of load cells are available, such as compact, waterproof, wide temperature, or pen type. The selected load cell and indicator are calibrated and shipped as a set, so there is no need for equivalent input calibration, and you can use it with confidence in accuracy.
